This Conservative government’s central mission is to level up our United Kingdom. Levelling up is about improving people’s pride in the places they love and seeing that reflected in energised communities. The local authority has applied for a share of the £2.6 billion UK Shared Prosperity Fund to build a new bridge over the river Weaver.
We are calling on the Conservative government to support local plans to build a new Winnington Bridge and redevelop the surrounding road networks. This will alleviate the pressure currently experienced by residents. Labour’s own 2018 transport plan for Northwich said Winnington Bridge was a “pinch point”, so – despite controlling the local council – why have they asked the Conservative government to sort out this mess?
As developers continue to build more houses while neglecting local infrastructure, the impact of traffic and pollution is getting worse.
So, sign this petition to secure a new Winnington Bridge!
